Chief Technical Advisor, Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources
Bob Hanna is Chief Technical Advisor in the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Ireland. In this role he represents Ireland in a number of international fora, including the E.U.’s Strategic Energy Technology Plan Steering Group. He was responsible for the Infrastructure component of the recently-published Irish Energy White Paper. With various experiences on advisory boards in the UK and Ireland, Bob is now the chief advisor to DCENR on all things technical related.
He joins the hot topic of integrating renewable energy into the grid to provide the perspective from government policy makers and to give details on the latest projects and plans in this area.
